3 Weeks!

 

 

Three weeks have gone by already, it amazes me how each week he is more alert. It is fun to see him track our faces and his little mobile. Mommy and Micah have gone on more outings. Mommy needs to get out of the house at least once daily! We have gone to Target, Caribou, Coffee shop in New Richmond, Kohl's, Applebeez and visited daddy at his work. 

Nursing: Is going very well. He really likes to eat but sometimes he likes to try to use it as a pacifier. Micah, we learned from the start is an oral baby...likes to have things in his mouth. He constantly wanted either his fingers or my boobs (mostly boobs).  We knew we would have to introduce  a pacifier. Benz unfortunately likes pacifiers too....we have lost about 4 to him. I noticed the last few days Micah has been spitting up more after eating, specifically in the morning.

Sleeping: This varies, some nights he is up every 1-2 hours and some nights, like last night, he was up twice- once at 2am and then again at 5am. He currently is sleeping in a bassinet next to our bed. He typically gets "up" around 7-8:30am and then is up until 10:30/11am  he takes another longer nap around 2pm. Evenings are a mix bag of eating, sleeping and being alert. Mommy goes to bed around 9/10pm and Micah stays up /sleeps with daddy until Micah gets hungry or Daddy goes to bed. Then mommy feeds Micah.  Micah is also used to a lot of noise when he sleeps, this was intentionally done because I don't want to tip toe around my house.

Micah dislikes:
-Being naked
-Crumpling paper noise

Micah fun fact:
-When changing his diaper he ninja pee's ...pees and you don't even know it has happened until you find his clothes are wet.  Usually this is after I have put them back on and pick him up.
-He has grown out of newborn sleepers and 3mo clothes are too big.

Products:
-We have not found pampers to be good for us...they leak and the weird mesh stuff sticks to his bottom.  We like Target brand diapers.
